Washed Concrete Sand
Washed Concrete sand is an aggregate sand usually composed of either trap rock, limestone or granite. Usually it is crushed at the quarry and then washed through a screen to ensure that there are no large pieces of rocks left in it. It is most commonly used as a key ingredient in cement or hot asphalt but it especially can be used as a base layer and leveling medium for patios or walkways made of concrete paving stones.
Decomposed granite is rock of granitic origin that has weathered to the point that it readily fractures into smaller pieces of weak rock. Further weathering produces rock that easily crumbles into mixtures of gravel-sized particles, sand, and silt-sized particles with some clay. This makes it an excellent source for a natural stone and flagstone pathway filler. It compacts and locks you products into place. You can also add a stabilizer to keep it lasting even longer.
Our 3/4″ minus with fine gravel is crushed and screened at 3/4″. This material contains pieces ranging from microscopic all the way up to 3/4″. It is a non-decorative gravel used as a base for pavers, walls that retain, or do not, and anywhere a structural base or foundation is needed.
3/4″ clean blue stone is an aggregate that has been crushed, reduced in size and screened through a 3/4” square screen. The material is then run through a machine to clean it thoroughly, ensuring there is no leftover stone dust or other residues. It can be used as an aggregate base and also as a driveway cover or pathway due to its clean consistent look. It will help keep your areas mud free.
